Meet Dr. John Ditto
Dr. John Ditto is a board-certified Otolaryngology Head and Neck surgeon, a fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, and also a fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. He received his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine. His research even landed him a scholarship from the Student National Medical Association, as he received the Outstanding Achievement Award in Medical School.
After Medical School, Dr. Ditto received his training in disorders of the Ear, Nose & Throat at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. While in residency, his research was published in the Archives of Otolaryngology. Post-residency, he completed a fellowship in otology at the University of Michigan, as well.
After residency, Dr. Ditto practiced in Jefferson City, MO where he ultimately sat on the Board of Examiners for the State of Missouri. He later relocated to Richmond where he has been practicing for the majority of the last 20 years. During his time in Richmond he has been recognized as a Richmond Top Doctor in Otolaryngology many times by his peers.
Dr. Ditto, at the beginning of 2020, decided that he wanted to venture out and open a Sinus & Allergy Center in the Short Pump area in Richmond, focusing specifically on minimally invasive treatments for the many patients that suffer from these issues. He has helped patients find relief with balloon sinus procedures for the last 14 years. His ultimate goal is to treat patients with the most state of the art equipment in a safe office based setting that allows patients to take as little time off of work as possible while getting the relief they deserve.
Dr. Ditto and his wife, Holly, reside in Richmond and enjoy birdwatching, reading, and gardening in their free time. Dr. Ditto also enjoys music and even plays the cello in the VCU medical orchestra.
